Pellets for pets with cannabidiol

Our pets are also very important to us. We want to give them the best care we can. The nutritional requirements of rodents are incredibly diverse, which is why it is always important that you base your rodent’s food on the type of rodent it is. A mouse, for example, has very different needs to a guinea pig.

The tasty hemp pellets are suitable for every type of rodent. They are full of CBD, other cannabinoids, fibre and essential nutrients: in short, a sensible supplement to your rodent or rabbit’s daily feeds.

Renova hemp pellets summarised:

  • Natural pellets for optimum well-being of rodents and rabbits
  • Only the best quality CBD for your rabbit or rodent
  • Grassy flavour that rodents and rabbits love
  • Animal-friendly: contains 0.0% THC

What are cannabinoids and what is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, just one of the active substances that come from the cannabis or hemp plant. CBD is just one of the hundred or so cannabinoids that occur naturally in the hemp plant. THC, CBG and CBDA are some other cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are organic compounds from the hemp or cannabis plant.

CBD is what is known as a phytocannabinoid, “phyto” being Greek for “plant’. In molecular terms, CBD and the other active substances from the cannabis plant are very similar to the cannabinoids that animals and humans manufacture themselves; the endocannabinoids.

Why are hemp pellets beneficial?

The hemp pellets from Renova contain a minimum of 0.3% or cannabinoids and are specially developed for administering to animals. And it’s not just people, animals also have an endocannabinoid system in their bodies. And just like in humans, this system is also involved in animals’ important bodily functions that contribute to the body’s normal functions. These include perception of pain, the motor system, mood and state of mind, stress, blood pressure and appetite.

Whenever the endocannabinoid system is out of balance, the unpleasant effects on the body can be observed in different ways. When the endocannabinoid system is out of balance, you will notice that your rodent or rabbit does not seem to be themselves, or is even experiencing discomfort, for example.

Through ingesting CBD, the endocannabinoid system can be restored to balance, so that the body is once again mentally and physically functioning optimally. As owner and guardian, naturally you want nothing more than optimum health for your pet.

Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and all other rodents also have an endocannabinoid system, through which the hemp pellets can serve as a powerful support for their general health and well-being.

Can I give CBD to my rabbit or rodent?

These hemp pellets are naturally 100% safe for rodents and rabbits. It’s not just humans – animals also have an ‘endocannabinoid system’, and for this reason animals can also reap the benefits of CBD, through ingesting these hemp pellets.

Easy dosage: includes measuring spoon!
To provide rabbits and rodents with the best possible support with the hemp pellets, it is highly recommended to keep to the dosing guidelines for these animals. The following guidelines apply for Renova hemp pellets:

  • Add 1 spoonful (spoon is enclosed) to the rabbit or rodent’s daily feed.

As most rodents and rabbits are small creatures, we recommend starting out with a very low dosage and gradually increasing it until you find the correct dosage for your pet. Dosage can be administered every 6-8 hours, up to three times a day.

Will my rabbit or rodent get high from CBD?

THC, the psychotropic part of the cannabis plant, is not used in Renova products, including the hemp pellets. This means that the hemp pellets are not at all psychotropic and it is not possible to become high or stoned from them. This is good, as it is partly for this reason that animals can also benefit from the beneficial qualities of CBD products like these pellets.

Naturally produced in Colorado: the hemp state of the USA!

Each hemp pellet is produced naturally in Colorado, as are all other Renova products. Local farmers monitor the air and soil quality very closely. No pesticides, solvents are other chemical agents are used in the production process of the hemp pellets, so you are assured of a completely safe and natural product.

The hemp pellets have a minimum cannabinoid content of 0.3%; in addition they contain 20% of plant-based proteins, 30% of insoluble fibres and 50% complex carbohydrates. The hemp meal used for the production of the hemp pellets is sterilised, sieved and mixed in for the safety, workability and consistency of the product.

To prevent mould, an FDA-approved mould inhibitor is added to the hemp pellets (the FDA is an agency of the United States government). This increases the shelf-life of the pellets.
